ABOUT USICES

The United States International Center for Electoral Support is a nonprofit organization headquartered in the United States with a global remit. USICES supports sustainable democratic development through the provision of technical assistance to election officials, professionalizing election administration, empowering the underrepresented to participate in democratic processes, and providing operational support to Election Management Bodies and key stakeholders within the electoral assistance framework. We facilitate the building of a community and network of election officials as well as linking U.S. election officials and agencies with those of other countries to promote exchange of experiences and best practices.

USICES works with all election stakeholders including international democracy assistance agencies and institutions, electoral management bodies, civil society organizations to promote citizen civic engagement, build the professional capacity of election officials, support to election observation/monitoring programs, parliamentary institutional strengthening, media freedom, and the judiciary to meet the challenges of administering decent democratic processes.

We seek to improve the efficiency and integrity of election administration by providing practitioners with the tools needed to upgrade the infrastructure of elections and improve the voting experience for voters. Our vision is straightforward: make voting a simple, build voter trust and confidence in elections, promote voting rights, diffuse social tensions and prevent conflicts.

Our pool of international experts and consultants provide the highest standards on innovative election administration topics and facilitate networking among our audience and officials of U.S. States and County Election Boards and Departments. USICES is engaged in knowledge transfer and supports efforts to building the capacity of local election officials in developing democracies.
